Workforce management

1) Man U- Sir Alex served as football manager (27yrs) in club history. won 5EPL titles (2004-2017). 3 Managers and no EPL titles after him.

2) Chelsea- Roman took over Chelsea in 2003. since then 7 managers have changed. won 5 EPL titles(2004-2017).

3) Arsenal- Arsene wenger has resigned at the end of 2017 season. EPL titles won 0.

1) Man U had a great leader and footballing mind, in the early years of Sir Alex results were not that favorable but the management still had trust in him an he turned out to be one of the greatest football coach in history. His work model was less stressed as management stress was less on him and he had an eye of eagle for talent hunt. After Sir Alex they can’t find a better replacement.

2) Chelsea met with an aggressive owner, won 5 EPL titles but changed 7 managers. There was sheer pressure to achieve the target no matter what. Management achieved things by changing and chopping

3) Arsenal had another great mind but couldn’t survive the competition Management had faith but the trophy cabinet was empty.

We all want to work in the first scenario but we don’t get always what we want. A successful work place is a combination of great leader open to change, management with patience which leads to great team.

That Phase of life………..

Its that phase of life, when nothing matters to you the most other than your own internal peace. You seams to have enough of all the trouble, nightmare, treachery, action, reaction, dubious friends, people surrounding with negative vibes…

Earlier you use to feel guilty of each and everything and now you have just attained the brahmagyan… So for all of us its nothing just junk file in your system hard drive which needs to be flushed……

So here is a big MIDDLE FINGER SALUTE  to all those negative emotions and vibes in my life.

General concern while changing a job!

Its that time of the year when people are busy hunting new jobs and negotiating with their current or future employer.

So what is that will prompt you to leave your current company? Let me be more positive. what is that will prompt you to switch jobs. There are several factors that may be considered. One of the main reason is money. We have this local saying in Hindi “paisa bolta hai” means money speaks and it is true for many reason. Salary hike is an important factor in changing the job.

Second is the work life balance and I feel when your thirst for a better salary is satisfied you look for work life balance. But then with higher position you tend to be more stressed at work. Speaking at my level, right now I am in shift duty and also I need a hike in the salary so that I can keep my family in a good condition.

Other factors include place of work, facilities provided by the company, hierarchy, scope of growth, promotion etc etc….

So all welcome the Job Hunting season with both the arms and may God help you to find jobs which you wish for!!!

How HOAX/FAKE message spreads fast?

Well you got the thing in the title itself. Yes There are many HOAX and FAKE message spreading because we are living in a world of internet. First of all those who don’t know what is HOAX message, here is the 5 marks answer for this.

Hoax E-mail messages distribute false, often disturbing, information designed to trick recipients into passing the same note onto other E-mail users. On the surface this does not sound like a terribly threatening or bothersome practice, but hoaxes, and those who choose to distribute them, can do real damage, both physical and mental. Each message sent from a user’s E-mail account, practical or superfluous, requires the expenditure of resources on the computer of origination and on every computer network it happens to pass through or into. Multiplied exponentially by constant forwarding and re-forwarding around the world, a single hoax message can result in huge overall energy drains. You, the end-user would experience this drain in the form of a slow Internet connection or low hard drive space on your PC or E-mail profile. Physical damage like this is a nuisance at best; however, hoaxes have a more sinister effect on the computer users who receive them. Not only can hoaxes create personal anxiety and mass panic, but, when received in quantity by a single user, they can cause complacency. A complacent attitude towards the mail arriving in an E-mail account on a regular basis could cause a user to stop watching for the true threats posed by some E-mail messages (e.g. Trojan Horse programs or money-solicitation scams) and that could lead to personal disaster.

FAKE messages are fake you know. There is no need of definition. But why do we fall for it. Because of few things.

  1. They surprise us pleasantly/unpleasantly.
  2. They seems very real
  3. They touch our emotions
  4. we are dumb heads

so people get up and don’t get caught up in this chain of HOAX message.

Don’t grow up! its a trap

I am a guy from the 90s when we had minimum technology which was restricted to a box tv and a telephone from BSNL. Now kids are born with technology, you know what I mean. But one thing that hasn’t change is the dilemma of growing up.

When I was a child it always used to fascinate me about growing up. I used to see my elders and dad doing all the big big things in life. But I had to deal with a bigger childhood problem. School and education. I hated the most. Most of the child will surely hate it now also. But my dad used to tell grow up complete your primary and then you will be able to do many things. your time will come. Then when I completed my primary things got harder. Then my dad told just clear the Boards and your time will come. I did that but things hot harder. Like that my dad told when you will do job your time will come and believe me out of all the things I hated the most Job will top the list because you have to deal with so many fake people and you also have to give them fake smile. I have a baby now barely 7 months. But from now only I tell her don’t grow up its a trap. I don’t know whether she understood or not….. But life goes like that

Caring Tips while nurturing new born

1. Breast Feeding or Infant formula

Make no 2nd thoughts breast feeding is the best thing. But for those non lactating mothers infant formula is the next best. Don’t go for simple cow milk or any other animal milk. Baby requires all the nutrient and that can be compensated by infant formula if mother’s milk is not available.

2. Feed your newborn on demand

New born of less than a week require frequent careful feeding. Look for the signs for their hunger. Franatic crying, sucking lips, streteching, not able to sleep

When your baby stops sucking, closes his or her mouth, or turns away from the nipple or bottle, he or she might be full — or simply taking a break. Try burping your baby or waiting a minute before offering your breast or the bottle again.

As your baby gets older, he or she will take in more milk in less time at each feeding.

3. Consider vitamin D supplements

Ask for Vit D supplements are most important because in india, there is a general trend that new born are left in sun light. Your elders will say they need sun for Vit D. But they don’t know the rays are too intense and may cause skin related problems. so its better if you feed your baby vitD supplements atleast for a year.

4. Expect variations in your newborn’s eating patterns

Your newborn won’t necessarily eat the same amount every day. During growth spurts — often at two to three weeks after birth and again at six weeks after birth — your newborn might take more at each feeding or want to be fed more often. Respond to early signs of hunger, rather than keeping a strict eye on the clock.

5. Trust your instincts — and your newborn’s

You might worry that your newborn isn’t eating enough, but babies usually know just how much they need. Don’t focus on how much, how often or how regularly your newborn eats. Instead, look for:

  • Steady weight gain
  • Contentment between feedings
  • By the fifth day after birth, at least six wet diapers and three or more bowel movements a day

Contact the doctor if your newborn isn’t gaining weight, wets fewer than six diapers a day or shows little interest in feedings.

6. Consider each feeding a time to bond with your newborn

Hold your newborn close during each feeding. Look him or her in the eye. Speak with a gentle voice. Use each feeding as an opportunity to build your newborn’s sense of security, trust and comfort.

7. Know when to ask for help

If you’re having trouble breast-feeding, ask a lactation consultant or your baby’s doctor for help — especially if every feeding is painful or your baby isn’t gaining weight. If you haven’t worked with a lactation consultant, ask your baby’s doctor for a referral or check with the obstetrics department at a local hospital.

Mocktail fusion: Kokum chillers

Hi friends,

This is my first attempt with mocktail with kokum as a base. Before beginning let me tell you something about the ingredients  and the health benefits.

Kokum or Garcinia Indica has many health benefits and usually consumed by people in summer due to its cooling effect. It can arrest many digestive problems. For full health benefits you can refer to my blog in section nutrition.

Orange we all know is a citrus fruit and is also good for digestion. Here I am using Crush instead of fruit. Other ingredient includes honey and lemon.

Ingredient:

  1. Kokum syrum
  2. Orange crush
  3. Honey
  4. Lemon

There is no secret for this mock tail. Add on spoon of kokum syrup and orange crush each. Note: the syrup and crush will have added sugar so those who have diabetes or sugar problem strictly avoid it. Mix vigorously with a spoon. Then add honey to it and squeeze lemon to make it little sour. Mix and blend to get a homogeneous  mixture. Pour ice cold water for better taste and effect.

How to increase body metabolism

1. EAT ENOUGH
You need to cut calories to lose weight. But going too low delivers a double whammy to your metabolism. When you eat less than you need for basic biological function (about 1,200 calories for most women), your body throws the brakes on your metabolism. It also begins to break down precious, calorie-burning muscle tissue for energy, says Dan Benardot, PhD, RD, an associate professor of nutrition and kinesiology at Georgia State University. “Eat just enough so you’re not hungry—a 150-calorie snack midmorning and midafternoon between three meals (about 430 calories each) will keep your metabolism humming.”

2. REV UP IN THE MORNING
Eating breakfast jump-starts metabolism and keeps energy high all day. It’s no accident that women who skip this meal are 4 1/2 times as likely to be obese. If nothing else, grab a yogurt. Or try oatmeal made with fat-free milk and topped with nuts for an essential protein boost. (For more breakfast ideas, see Power Breakfasts For Energy.)

3. DRINK COFFEE OR TEA
Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant, so your daily java jolts can rev your metabolism 5 to 8%—about 98 to 174 calories a day. A cup of brewed tea can raise your metabolism by 12%, according to one Japanese study. Researchers believe the antioxidant catechins in tea provide the boost.

4. FIGHT FAT WITH FIBER
Research shows that some fiber can rev your fat burn by as much as 30%. Studies find that women who eat the most fiber in foods gain the least weight over time. Aim for about 25 g a day—the amount in about three servings each of fruits and vegetables.

5. BUY THE BIG BOTTLE
German researchers found that drinking 6 cups of cold water a day (that’s 48 ounces) can raise resting metabolism by about 50 calories daily—enough to shed 5 pounds in a year. The increase may come from the work it takes to heat the water to body temperature.

6. EAT MORE ORGANIC FOOD
Canadian researchers report that dieters with the most organochlorines (pollutants from pesticides, which are stored in fat cells) experience a greater than normal dip in metabolism as they lose weight, perhaps because the toxins interfere with the energy-burning process. Other research hints that pesticides can trigger weight gain. Always choose organic when buying peaches, apples, bell peppers, celery, nectarines, strawberries, cherries, lettuce, imported grapes, and pears; non-organic versions tend to have the highest levels of pesticides.

7. ALWAYS INCLUDE PROTEIN
Your body needs protein to maintain lean muscle. Add a serving, like 3 ounces of lean meat, 2 tablespoons of nuts, or 8 ounces of low-fat yogurt, to every meal and snack. Research shows protein can up postmeal calorie burn by as much as 35%.

8. EAT IRON-RICH FOODS
It’s essential for carrying the oxygen your muscles need to burn fat, says Tammy Lakatos, RD, coauthor of Fire Up Your Metabolism. Until menopause, women lose iron each month through menstruation. Unless you restock your stores, you run the risk of low energy and a sagging metabolism. Shellfish, lean meats, beans, fortified cereals, and spinach are excellent sources.

9. GET MORE VITAMIN D
This vitamin is essential for preserving metabolism-revving muscle tissue. Unfortunately, researchers estimate that a measly 4% of Americans over age 50 take in enough vitamin D through their diet. Get 90% of your recommended daily value (400 IU) in a 3.5-ounce serving of salmon. Other good sources: tuna, shrimp, tofu, fortified milk and cereal, and eggs.

10. SKIP THE SECOND COCKTAIL
When you have a drink, you burn less fat, and more slowly than usual, because the alcohol is used as fuel instead. Knocking back the equivalent of about two martinis can reduce your body’s fat-burning ability by up to 73%.

11. DRINK MILK
“There’s some evidence that calcium deficiency, which is common in many women, may slow metabolism,” says Lakatos. Research shows that consuming calcium through dairy foods such as fat-free milk and low-fat yogurt may also reduce fat absorption from other foods.

The most basic need water

1. Drinking Water Helps Maintain the Balance of Body Fluids. Your body is composed of about 60% water. The functions of these bodily fluids include digestion, absorption, circulation, creation of saliva, transportation of nutrients, and maintenance of body temperature.

“Through the posterior pituitary gland, your brain communicates with your kidneys and tells it how much water to excrete as urine or hold onto for reserves,” says Guest, who is also an adjunct professor of medicine at Stanford University.

When you’re low on fluids, the brain triggers the body’s thirst mechanism. And unless you are taking medications that make you thirsty, Guest says, you should listen to those cues and get yourself a drink of water, juice, milk, coffee — anything but alcohol.

Alcohol interferes with the brain and kidney communication and causes excess excretion of fluids which can then lead to dehydration,” he says.

2. Water Can Help Control Calories. For years, dieters have been drinking lots of water as a weight loss strategy. While water doesn’t have any magical effect on weight loss, substituting it for higher calorie beverages can certainly help.

“What works with weight loss is if you choose water or a non-caloric beverage over a caloric beverage and/or eat a diet higher in water-rich foods that are healthier, more filling, and help you trim calorie intake,” says Penn State researcher Barbara Rolls, PhD, author of The Volumetrics Weight Control Plan.

Food with high water content tends to look larger, its higher volume requires more chewing, and it is absorbed more slowly by the body, which helps you feel full. Water-rich foods include fruits, vegetables, broth-based soups, oatmeal, and beans.
